Wests Tigers coach Jason Taylor is holding his tongue, refusing to lash the NRL judiciary for clearing Ryan James to play despite breaking James Tedesco's jaw.

Taylor hinted he couldn't get his head around the Gold Coast prop successfully having his careless high tackle charge downgraded at the judiciary on Wednesday night.

However he refused to enter into a public war of words on Thursday, 24 hours out from his side's do-or-die clash with Penrith.
